Ares Design takes to the water - Well, nearly...

September 2018

Following a successful collaboration with the award-winning superyacht designers, Tansu, earlier this year, Italian based automotive atelier, ARES DESIGN will be showcasing a range of bespoke luxury vehicles at the forthcoming Monaco Yacht Show, 26th-29th September 2018.

Displayed at the show’s highly popular Car Deck, visitors to the world’s premier superyacht event are invited to experience ARES DESIGN’s work with an incredible two-door Bentley Mulsanne Coupe, Porsche Targa GT3 and the stunning first Scrambler motorcycle modified by the Italian outfit. ARES DESIGN’s work on the iconic Land Rover Defender and sublime Rolls-Royce Wraith will also be on display alongside the ARES DESIGN for the Mercedes-Benz V Class showcasing the ultimate in client mobility and discreet luxury. Now in its third year, the 2018 Car Deck focuses on the themes of uniqueness, design and handcraft, all elements synonymous with ARES DESIGN’s work across a wide range of luxury vehicles.

Dany Bahar, ARES DESIGN CEO and Co-Founder, said: “The audience and prestige of the Monaco Yacht Show make it the perfect platform for ARES DESIGN to introduce just a few of our projects from the past 12 months. Visitors to the event understand the concept of luxury and are very familiar with making decisions based on desire rather than specific need. There’s simply no substitute for first-hand experience - being able to touch the hand-stitched Italian leather, experience the new lines of the vehicle and the scale of the work in real life. There are many similarities between the way in which the team at ARES DESIGN works and traditional yacht building - the quality of materials, the state-of-the-art technology and the desire to create something truly unique. There will be an astonishing array of Boys Toys on display at the show, I’m looking forward to showing the crowds exactly why we belong there.”

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show, said: ”The Monaco Yacht Show is considered as the world's first destination for superyacht owners and aficionados of the finest art of living. Every year, the show visitors admire the most jaw-dropping one-off luxury vessels on display and the most sought-after products on docks. In the same way, the Car Deck reflects the superyacht lifestyle with the showcase of superlatively luxurious vehicles transformed according to their owners’ desires. Visitors experience the difference in Monaco. We're proud to welcome ARES DESIGN at the Car Deck for the first time. Their superb redesigned and customised car models perfectly match the new lifestyle experience we wish to offer the MYS clientele."

ARES DESIGN VEHICLES ON DISPLAY

ARES DESIGN for the Bentley Mulsanne

Throughout the 20th century Bentley was one of the most popular marques for coachbuilders so it’s perhaps fitting that ARES DESIGN chose Bentley’s four-door Mulsanne as the basis for this spectacular recreation of a Bentley Coupe. Using cutting-edge 21st century techniques ARES DESIGN has created an exquisite Bentley Coupe for the modern era.

The ARES Coupe will be built in extremely limited numbers for customers who appreciate Bentley style but desire a bespoke handcrafted creation. Carrying out such a comprehensive reimagining of the classic Bentley is a formidable task but by creatively fusing modern and traditional methods ARES has built a stunning and exclusive vehicle.

ARES DESIGN for the Porsche 911 GT3 Targa

There’s nothing quite as appealing to a Porsche enthusiast as the words Renn Sport. They denote poise, precision and a level of sporting prowess virtually unrivalled in the supercar sector. But on a more mundane level when attached to a 911 they also denote a fixed roof as Porsche doesn’t produce an RS model with a Targa top. So, if you’d like wind in the hair motoring you’ll have to settle for a rung or two down from the top of the 911 model ladder.

Unless you call on the considerable skill of ARES DESIGN’s talented designers and technicians. ARES Design has carved a niche for itself as creators of some of the world’s finest bespoke automotive masterpieces and with its GT3 RS Targa it has not only produced a machine that has all the hallmark styling cues of the original, but one that performs like one too.

The base model for the transformation is a 911 Targa 4 GTS and the stunning GT3 RS look was realised by the fitment of genuine OEM Porsche parts. The front bumper, front wings, air ducts, sills and side panels are all genuine GT3 RS parts while at the rear ARES needed to construct a hybrid GT3 bumper from carbon fibre, carefully fusing elements of the Mk1 and Mk2 GT3 RS bumpers to t the Targa’s body. A Porsche GT3 RS 21-inch alloy wheelset, shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, completed the RS-look.

ARES DESIGN for the BMW R NineT

The Italian automotive atelier, ARES DESIGN, unveils its latest luxury retro roadster on the streets of Modena, this time favouring two wheels over four. Combining a stunning minimalist bespoke look with upgraded engineering, the first scrambler modified by ARES DESIGN will be built in limited numbers, at a starting price of €20,000 (donor bike included) with scope for further personalisation.

The appetite for retro styling isn’t exclusively the preserve of those with a passion for four-wheeled machinery – those who favour the rawer experience of riding a motorcycle have also been bitten by the nostalgia bug and as a result, ARES DESIGN has applied its engineering and design know-how to a BMW motorcycle. Many of ARES’s customers will have a bike in the garage and, with the current fashion for retro-styled machinery, ARES DESIGN now proudly presents a BMW scrambler.

ARES DESIGN for the Mercedes-Benz V Class

If client mobility in discreet luxury is a top priority then ARES DESIGN’s customised Mercedes-Benz V Class has the perfect blend of abilities. The ARES Mercedes V Class has a wealth of innovative features that can be tailored to your exact needs thanks to ARES DESIGN’s personalisation programme. Externally the V Class has been given a subtle but purposeful makeover with AMG styling cues for its front and rear bumper assemblies and rear spoiler while it also features 19-inch AMG wheels.

While the ARES Mercedes V Class might look understated from the outside it’s inside that ARES has really gone to town with the car’s design, offering an ambiance of tasteful opulence. The seating has been modified to offer a spacious, yet comfortable, interior with one bench seat and two individual seats situated side by side. The interior panelling has been upgraded and ARES’s talented leather workers have retrimmed the entire interior in high quality leather. The driver hasn’t been forgotten with leather and wood trim extending to the cockpit.
